
About the Owners

Lauren and Damon Hutson opened Tulsa Sunshine Center in February of 2009. It was our desire to create a pediatric facility where therapists could work as a team, exchange ideas, and provide exceptional services to the wonderful children of Tulsa and its surrounding communities.
Lauren graduated with her undergraduate and graduate Speech-Language Pathology degrees from The University of Tulsa. Lauren has worked with children on the autism spectrum for the past 15 years. She spent nearly 5 of those years working with children in the birth to three population with Tulsa County SoonerStart. She is currently in the process of completing her certification utilizing the Floortime approach within the Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationship (DIR) Based Model. Lauren has also had training utilizing the PROMPT Technique for treatment of oral apraxia, as well as trainings for a variety of oral motor techniques including those by Diane Chapman-Bahr. In 2009, Lauren was nominated as a candidate for a TARC advocacy award in the category of Professional Provider of the Year. She has a passion for working with children and making a difference in the lives of their families.
Damon graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1999 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He has spent the last 12 years working as an engineering project manager, where he has managed over 220 million dollars of technical projects. Damon is currently responsible for creating and implementing strategic goals and objectives for Tulsa Sunshine Center, while giving direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives.
