If your child has a fever, a persistent cough, or a runny nose, please call and cancel your appointment.

Attendance Policy
Tulsa Sunshine Center would like to thank you for trusting us with your family’s therapeutic needs. Regular attendance of scheduled therapy sessions is crucial to your child’s progress.Therefore, to better serve our growing number of patients and their families, we require everyone to follow our 70% attendance policy and respect our “24 Hour cancellation” policy regarding appointment cancellations and rescheduling.

Our attendance policy is as follows:

1. If you need to cancel, we ask that you show us consideration by calling at least 24 hours prior to your
appointment.We have children on the waiting list waiting for last minute openings.

2. Your appointment will be counted as a “no show” if you fail to cancel within 3 hours of your scheduled

3. Private Pay & Insurance Clients – If you fail to provide notice for any cancellation, you will be charged

Repeated late cancellations or no-shows are disruptive to the optimal delivery of care to your child and our other patients.As a result you may be discharged from therapy for the following reasons:

1. Three separate days of “no shows” in a three week period.

2. Attendance of less than 70% of scheduled appointments, over a 6 week period. (Note : If you have three
appointments on one day, and you miss that day, that is counted as
three missed appointments)

If you are removed from your recurring schedule, you are welcome to call in each week to check if we have any available openings. You are not guaranteed your previous schedule date/time once you are removed from recurring appointments.After you have attended 8 appointments, achieving an attendance rate of greater than 75%, you can request to be added back to the recurring schedule.The request will then be reviewed by the CEO and approved or denied based on your historical attendance findings.
